History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Aerdeth was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Aerdeth decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Being a Gardener kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Gifted from a young age, Aramil studied abroad. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Ploughman. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Dayereth grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Dayereth. He has worked as a Marshal like his father before him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Marshal responsibilities is difficult.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Naill was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Naill's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

History: Hadarai was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Hadarai has worked very hard to control his curse. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
