History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the west. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Reynard was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Gerald abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it
