He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. After a long history of fighting, Cory and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born into a rich family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He struck the Laborer job and began his own company from there.

History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it.
