History: Born to a Mercenary, his father struggled to pay the bills. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he wants revenge against brigands

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Raymond isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Raymond was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign.
