History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Odo grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Odo. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Gilbert was born with his father's beautiful face. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

His amber eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Balimaar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: Lance hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He worked as a nervous Doctor and found it very stressful. He has never given up on his writing dream.
