It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Frederick abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

His hair is long and brown with streaks of auburn, and is pulled back with small green clips. His beard is auburn, braided, and well cared for. His gray eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 5 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Anthony never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: William was born the youngest of three triplets. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Marshal. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Patrick hails from a village terrorized by orcs. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Patrick and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it
