He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Justin was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
