History: Alexandre hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Geoffrey was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Geoffrey never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.
