Personality: Gerard wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Fighter, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... The war was a terrible time for him, and Gerard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Through the years after Gerard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gerard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
