History: Randal was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has achieved small success as a Bricklayer.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Dilettante. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Born in the north to a Dilettante, Manfred learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and he has money and likes to spend it
