He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Gerard and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. Being a Painter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
