Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Norman embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Through the years after Norman was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Norman's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Norman and his spouse have recently divorced.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. Robert enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
