Shane decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Raymond has worked very hard to control his curse. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Theobald embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Scribe profession.

History: Theobald was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A freak accident while working with his Scribe father left him crippled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Scribe they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Doctor, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: He wants to get laid; and further expansion of business

History: He got into the Cartwright business at a young age. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: He was born in the south. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
