Description: An older man who wears many layers of old clothing at all times, he is not a threatening figure. He has a long black beard with little hanging trinkets. He wears large thick round spectacles.
Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He plays an instrument quite well.
History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Shoemaker they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Masseuse, and he later adopted a second daughter.
Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Masseuse and was forced into it by his family; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Description: 5'5" and muscular, this western man is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright white and brown, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His hair is cut close to his head. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.
Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.
History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, William was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and he has money and likes to spend it

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His childhood dream was to be a Sailor, but he was a colossal failure. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
