History: Bertram was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He found several beat up suits of armor and, cannibalizing spare parts, he put together a working one.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. After a long history of fighting, Nicholas and his spouse have recently divorced.
