History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. Alex was born on a far southern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Stableman. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Bertram is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Bertram lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Bertram was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: He was born in the south. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.
