Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Manfred was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he has money and likes to spend it

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. In his youth he was a Layabout, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country.
