The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Being a Mayor kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Alex was born with his father's beautiful face. His childhood dream was to be a Bookbinder, but he was a colossal failure. He became a Baker soon after.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Thomas and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Anthony was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.
