History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. Norman was born on a far southern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Painter. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Roofer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: Gilbert hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Through the years after Gilbert was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west.
