History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Butcher hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Being a Butcher kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: He is a Carpenter first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Frederick lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. After coming to the age of reason, Frederick took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He struck the Carpenter job and began his own company from there.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Dean grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Dean. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
