History: Manfred hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His divine abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against orcs; and someone believes him a fraud

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Alex alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Alex was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.
