History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Gilbert abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Shane was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
