Roger Lincoln, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He dresses in collared shirts and wears a proper scarf over his head. He is bristling with hidden weapons, mostly rapiers and monstrous two handed axes. His red hair is smooth and relatively long. He has blue eyes.
Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.
History: Roger was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Roger was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Roger decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Solomon Stanford, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he wears tan painted combat armor at almost all times. He keeps his long auburn hair kept up in a rat tail. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.
Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Solomon is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.
History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. When Solomon reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
