History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Guard arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
