History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Ernest was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it.

History: He was born in a small island village. He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
