History: Rolf lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Rolf alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and doesn't want to be a marshal and was forced into it by his family

His hair is long and chestnut with streaks of black, and is pulled back with small brown clips. His beard is black, braided, and well cared for. His blue eyes peer out from beneath his broad brown hat.

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Born to a Laborer, his mother struggled to pay the bills. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

Description: This man is well dressed, constantly wearing a black suit, tan shirt, and blue tie, and sports empty pouches on his belt. His chestnut hair is smooth and relatively long. His skin is flawless and his amber eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Manfred was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved.

His hair is long and black with streaks of blonde, and is pulled back with small green clips. His beard is blonde, braided, and well cared for. His violet unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and he has money and likes to spend it

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Robert grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and to reunite with his old friends
