History: The child of a Carter, who enjoyed hunting, Roger was taken on many hunting expeditions. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Roger grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Roger. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Miner. He struck the Miner job and began his own company from there.

History: Gifted from a young age, Alex studied abroad. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Shane hails from a village terrorized by giants. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Shane was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and doesn't want to be a assassin and was forced into it by his family
