History: He was born into a rich family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Roger grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Roger. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Spice Merchant for hire.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. After a long history of fighting, Raymond and his spouse have recently divorced.
