Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a chocolate of some kind. He wears a suit in poor condition. Personality: He is happy with his job as a Shepherd. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He takes great pride in his work and is very well organized. His planner is full of calendar events.

History: Randal lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Shepherd. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Description: A middle-aged man, he is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing green cape and mantle trimmed with soft blue waves gently in the breeze, and is pretty ugly. His white hair is still thick. His blue eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing dancing.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and he has money and likes to spend it

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: Hugh hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and many dire rats want him driven away

Description: This eastern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. With a patchy brown beard and wild brown hair. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are hazel.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things.
