Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Alex was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Alex decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He worked as a nervous Animal Trainer and found it very stressful. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Through the years after Clerebold was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Clerebold's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
