History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Aldous alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against goblins; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He tends to his Doctor job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and to be a spice merchant again
