History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Gilbert was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Gilbert's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Mercenary. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature greataxe.
