Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: Ernest lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he dresses well, wearing white shirts, loose pants, and blazers most of the time. He wears his auburn hair up in a very large beehive style do. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Anselm was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When Anselm reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He is content.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: Trym hails from a village terrorized by brigands. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Miller. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and balancing his hectic life and new miller responsibilities is difficult

Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He wears just a black suit. His chestnut hair is unkempt and raggedy. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Ideals: Athletic. Flaws: Ugly, Insomniac. Bonds: Poor, Criminal record. Occupation: Adventurer
