Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hugh grew up listening to his father's many stories. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Through the years after Bertram was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Bertram's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
