History: Charles hails from a village terrorized by giants. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Charles was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
