It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of brigands once and for all.

Description: This younger middle-aged man wears a suit in poor condition. It has not been laundered in sometime and has been worn in activities one would not normally wear a suit during, and a wedding ring on his right hand. He has a silver handlebar mustache and slicked back silver hair. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and wishes to resurrect an old love

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. When triggered he is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He worked as a nervous Courier and found it very stressful. He struck the Courier job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.
