Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. Ernest enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Ernest alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and wants to work out more often

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Guard. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and he wants revenge against orcs

History: Shane hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Shane was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and retire the richest man in the south
