History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Adelard grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. After a long history of fighting, Adelard and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and wants to work out more often

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ralf fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
