During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Description: This exceptionally lanky man prefers to wear black clothing when he does not wear armor. He wears his blonde hair up in a very large beehive style do. He is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature hand crossbow.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Description: He prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'9" when asserting himself. His black hair has been sun bleached extensively. His eyes are green and beady.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and sabotage a competitor
