Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Clerebold never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Alex lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Peter has worked very hard to control his curse. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.
