Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Mercenary but believes his peers are too gung-ho.
History: He was born in a small desert village. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Description: This slender man stands about 6'6". He prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs. His black hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. His eyes are a pleasant brown.
Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Painter. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.
History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and sabotage a competitor

Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He is wearing a long, grey, dusty cloak. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.
Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He takes great pride in his work and is very well organized. His planner is full of calendar events.
History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Roger was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Roger grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Roger. He struck the Miller job and began his own company from there.
Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.
History: Thomas was born with his father's beautiful face. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.
History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. When William reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it
