Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His white hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. Balimaar enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: The child of a Dilettante, who enjoyed hunting, Balimaar was taken on many hunting expeditions. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.

Description: He wears tight fitting pants and leather jackets. He usually doesn't wear a shirt, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 6'5" when asserting himself. His silver hair, when down, is lengthy. He tend to wears goggles to shield his eyes.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was granted druidic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Sage and was forced into it by his family; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Description: He has a large brown mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into his black robe. He carries with him a set of hammers on his belt, each one with a opal on the hilt. He keeps his black hair in a pixie cut. He has a dull look in his blue eyes.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and regain custody of his daughter

He has done his best to style his golden hair to look like a famous performer. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his gray eyes.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and to get a good night's sleep
