History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Geoffrey was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He now owns his own business.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Alex hails from a village terrorized by goblins. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Hugh was born the youngest of three triplets. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
