He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Tim grew up listening to his mother's many stories. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bellfounder. He struck the Bellfounder job and began his own company from there.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
