History: He got into the Ruler business at a young age. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gerard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gerard. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Ruler and occasionally as a mercenary.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When Ernest reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was granted divine powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
