History: Gifted from a young age, Bernard studied abroad. He has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Cory lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed.
