History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Gerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. After a long history of fighting, Gerald and his spouse have recently divorced.

He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He tends to his Barkeep job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
