History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Kody lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
