History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and to find somewhere to settle down

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Born in the east to a Bather, Conrad learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Assassin, but he got bored and became a Bather. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Bather responsibilities is difficult; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.
