History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Ralf lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gifted student he started as a Priest, but he got bored and became a Bather. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Jocelyn hails from a village terrorized by giants. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Jocelyn was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and revenge
